  • Agriculture
    The organization started distributing good and improved quality seeds of paddy to the farmers in the year 2003. This work in being done in Chatra and Hazaribagh Districts of Jharkhand State in collaboration with Central Rice Research Institute and International Rice Research Institute and (IRRI) Philippines. In this connection, the Secretary of the organization got a chance to visit Philippines for training purpose. So far, seeds of Anjali, Abhishek, and Vandana (paddy varieties) have been distributed to almost 600 farmers. 120 quintal of paddy seeds have been sown in 192 hectare of land for demonstration. The produce of 1 kg of these paddy varieties ranges from 80 kg- 1 quintal.


  • Horticulture
    As the sister agency of Welfare Point (another Chatra-based NGO) in National Horticulture Mission, Adarsh path gave away plants of guava, amla, mango and lemon to the farmers for the productive use of waste land.



  • Health

    • In collaboration with Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra, Hazaribagh, Adarsh Path ran a RCH (Reproductive Child Health) programme from June to December in 2004 in Aara Panchayat of Chatra District. In this programme, young boys and girls along with married couples were trained on health consciousness issues. Pregnant mothers were also informed about health related facts. They were also provided with maternity kits.

    • The organization started Hepatitis – B vaccination programme in 2006-2007. Students and a few villagers were vaccinated in this programme. This vaccine was bought by Adarsh Path itself from Reach India.

    • Adarsh Path managed a homoeopathy centre in Giddhaur Block of Chatra District in 2003-2005 in which medicines were given for free. This work is still being done informally.

    • The organization started low cost toilet construction in 2006 under District Total Sanitation Campaign in five Panchayats of Chatra District. Now this work has expanded to ten Panchayats and 2000 toilets have been constructed so far. Two Panchayats covered by Adarsh Path have been declared as ‘Nirmal Gram’.

  • Education

    • Bridge Course Management programme was given to Adarsh Path by Jharkhand Education Project Council in October, 2006. In this programme, 5 non-residential bridge course centres (9 months course) and 1 residential bridge course school (1 year course) were given to the organization. The students of these schools were combined with mainstream education after the completion of the course.

    • The organization is running a school for Bidi Child-laborers with the help of villagers.

    • Adarsh Path has recently started a primary school for the physically handicapped children of 6-14 yrs.

    • Adarsh Path recently started a residential bridge course center for 50 boys at Chatra District.


  • Mushroom training and production programme :
    In collaboration with Central Rice Research Institute, Hazaribagh, Adarsh Path runs a mushroom training and production programme in which about 100 women have received training so far.




  • Shishu Palna Kendra :
    In collaboration with the Welfare Department of the District, Adarsh Path opened 3 Shishu Palna Kendras in 2006 which have now come under Child Development Project.




  • Training :
    Time to time Adarsh Path gives training to people on different issues and subjects to make them aware and self-dependent.




  • Formation of self-help groups :
    Adarsh path is now running 35 self-help groups in which 6 groups have received a revolving fund of 25 thousand per group. IInd grading of 3 groups has been done for which every group shall receive a loan of 2.5 lacs out of which 1.25 lacs shall be subsidized.



·         Jeevan Madhur Micro-Insurance :-
Life Insurance Corporation of India has chosen Adarsh Path to run its Jeevan Madhur Micro-Insurance Programme in Chatra District. In this programme, the organization has done 600 policies so far. Minimum premium value is 100 Rs. monthly and maximum is 500 Rs. monthly. Minimum time period- 5 yrs, Maximum time period- 15 yrs. Minimum age – 18 yrs, Maximum age – 60 yrs. This programme is specially for the low income level groups.

·         FUTURE PLAN:
Adarsh Path has been and shall always keep bringing novel ideas and strategies for the fulfillment of the needs and requirements of the people residing in Rural areas. You can also devote your valuable time in the noble work.

Seeing the condition of children and the aged in their working area, Adarsh Path has felt the need of starting an orphanage and an old age home. Adarsh Path also plans to make the school for the handicapped already being run by it, residential. All this is only possible if Adarsh Path gets financial support and moral assistance.
