seeds of paddy to the farmers in the year 2003. This work in
being done in Chatra and Hazaribagh Districts of Jharkhand
State in collaboration with Central Rice Research Institute
and International Rice Research Institute and (IRRI) Philippines.
In this connection, the Secretary of the organization got a
chance to visit Philippines for training purpose. So far,
seeds of Anjali, Abhishek, and Vandana (paddy varieties) have
been distributed to almost 600 farmers. 120 quintal of paddy
seeds have been sown in 192 hectare of land for demonstration.
The produce of 1 kg of these paddy varieties ranges from 80
kg- 1 quintal.
As the sister agency of Welfare Point (another Chatra-based
NGO) in National Horticulture Mission, Adarsh path gave away
plants of guava, amla, mango and lemon to the farmers for the
productive use of waste land.

Adarsh Path ran a RCH (Reproductive Child Health)
programme from June to December in 2004 in Aara Panchayat of
Chatra District. In this programme, young boys and girls
along with married couples were trained on health
consciousness issues. Pregnant mothers were also informed
about health related facts. They were also provided with

Two Panchayats covered by Adarsh Path have been declared as

this programme, 5 non-residential bridge course centres (9
months course) and 1 residential bridge course school (1

these schools were combined with mainstream education after

In collaboration with Central Rice Research Institute,
Hazaribagh, Adarsh Path runs a mushroom training and
production programme in which about 100 women have received
training so far.
Jeevan Madhur Micro-Insurance :-
Life Insurance Corporation of India has chosen Adarsh Path to
run its Jeevan Madhur Micro-Insurance Programme in Chatra
District. In this programme, the organization has done 600
policies so far. Minimum premium value is 100 Rs. monthly and
maximum is 500 Rs. monthly. Minimum time period- 5 yrs, Maximum
time period- 15 yrs. Minimum age – 18 yrs, Maximum age – 60 yrs.
This programme is specially for the low income level groups.
Adarsh Path has been and shall always keep bringing novel ideas
and strategies for the fulfillment of the needs and requirements
of the people residing in Rural areas. You can also devote your
valuable time in the noble work.
Seeing the condition of
children and the aged in their working area, Adarsh Path has
felt the need of starting an orphanage and an old age home.
Adarsh Path also plans to make the school for the
handicapped already being run by it, residential. All this
is only possible if Adarsh Path gets financial support and moral
